The Ultimate Retention Device

The SECTION8tactical Ultimate Retention Device is designed to be used for flashlight retention during tactical transitions. FOR THE COMPETITIVE SHOOTER THAT HAS TO INCORPORATE A MAGAZINE CHANGE, THIS MEANS NOT HAVING TO SET YOUR LIGHT DOWN AND STILL BEING ABLE TO GRAB AND INSERT A NEW MAGAZINE. THIS TRANSLATES INTO SPEED.

The SECTION8tactical Ultimate Retention Device body is an injection-molded rubber offering the right amount of flexibility to aid in comfort and just the right amount of stiffness to keep the flashlight in position for QUICK access. This is what we call predictable flexibility. The light is free to move, but only in a certain predictable and supported pattern.

The SECTION8tactical Ultimate Retention Device comes with 3 injection-molded plastic index finger sizing inserts. A medium insert is installed and one smaller and one larger are furnished. Simply slip the correct insert into the molded rubber piece and you are ready to begin using the product.

The SECTION8tactical Ultimate Retention Device eliminates the cumbersome dangling lanyards that can pose a possible unsafe situation from tangling or grabbing. The SECTION8tactical Ultimate Retention Device will eliminate the need to set your flashlight down and maybe misplace it.

If it is imperative that the flashlight be set down, as an added feature, the SECTION8tactical Ultimate Retention Device will keep the flashlight from rolling off of an inclined surface.

HOW IT WORKS

To begin using The Ultimate Retention Device Choose the plastic sizing ring that best suits your index finger. It should be a slightly loose fit when slid close to the palm. Insert the plastic ring into the rubber "8" in the large hole. The installed ring will need to be removed to fit a different ring. There are 3 sizes included. Slide the The Ultimate Retention Device. onto your flashlight (smaller hole goes on flashlight). With the head of the flashlight facing down or away from you, insert the index finger.

When the index finger is inserted, the remaining fingers can naturally wrap around the flashlight.

The flashlight is now secured and in a position to use the pad of the thumb to operate in a search mode or "back of hand to back of hand" technique.

From the above mode, the hand can be opened, the bottom 3 fingers rotated to the bottom and the index finger is in place on the top of the light. This is VERY QUICK and maintains retention.

This tactical position allows the light to be used with the fingers grabbing the The Ultimate Retention Device and the "fat" of the thumb used to turn on the light.

From this position, the hand can be opened and the flashlight will remain in position and allow VERY QUICK tactical operations such as magazine changes in competitive shooting matches.
